Delivery Terms

Official Royal Doors delivery terms covering requirements, vehicle access, charges, delivery notice, failed deliveries, receiving your order, damages & shortages, and delivery time.

1Delivery Requirements
  • Full details: complete address & postcode, contact name, mobile or landline.
  • Unloading assistance: one-man delivery; onsite help required for safe unloading.
  • POD: sign, print name, and date at point of delivery.
  • Kerbside only unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2Vehicle Access
  • Large orders: large lorry (up to ~12.0 m L × 2.55 m W × 4.2 m H).
  • Smaller orders: may use a long-wheelbase van (e.g., LWB Sprinter).
  • Scope: approach roads, low bridges/height limits, width & weight limits, tree canopy height.
  • Customer responsibility: advise restrictions before ordering; unsuitable/unsafe access may abort delivery and incur charges.
  • Pre-check: if postcode unsuitable, we’ll arrange alternate address or 3rd-party smaller vehicle (additional confirmed charge).
3Delivery Charges
  • Delivery charged on all products, based on product type and size.
  • Collection from depot available by prior arrangement (any delivery charge deducted).
4Delivery Notice
  • No guaranteed time slots or specific days; we’ll give as much notice as possible.
  • Monday–Friday, up to 6:00pm.
  • Driver usually calls the day before—ensure numbers are correct/reachable.
5Failed / Aborted Deliveries
  • If no one on site at the confirmed time after prior notice: redelivery fee of £80.00+.
  • Unsafe/unsuitable access on arrival: delivery aborted; additional charges may apply.
6Receiving Your Order
  • Assistance at site often required; solo driver.
  • Recipient must be 18+ and able to assist.
  • Driver helps with initial offload only; no carrying beyond kerb.
  • Signature required (unless letterbox-postable).
  • No “safe place” deliveries.
7Damages & Shortages

Report any damages or shortages within 3 days of delivery. Where possible include photos and your order number.

8Delivery Time
  • Made-to-Order items: typically 3–8 weeks* from order confirmation (and after approvals/payment, where applicable).
  • In-stock items: usually dispatched within 1–3 working days. Next Working Day may be available to mainland UK (subject to cut-off, carrier capacity, access; extra charges may apply).

* Delivery times are approximate and can change. Manufacturing delays (especially for bespoke items) are outside our control.

Seasonal Shutdown

Over Christmas/New Year many manufacturers close for ~2 weeks. Please allow an extra 2 weeks on standard lead times during this period.
