A sidelight is a glazed panel beside the door, and it is the usual answer when a hallway has no window of its own. One panel on the handle side brings in daylight without widening the door itself; a panel each side suits a wide opening and gives the entrance a symmetrical front.
Every steel door in our range can be ordered with sidelights — all 137 models, across all the collections. The panels are designed with the door rather than bolted on afterwards, so the frame, the colour and the glazing match, and the whole assembly is made to the opening you measure in 1 cm steps. You can also add a top light above the door where the opening is tall.
Start from any door and add the panels as you design it. Choose the glazing for the sidelights separately from the door if you want more privacy at ground level. Made to measure in 4–6 weeks, with the price shown as you build it and UK-wide delivery.
